Putting books on hold
If you ask us to hold a book for you or order a book from us through a web site and do not immediately provide payment information, the book will be held for five working days while we wait for your payment. Please note that there is a short period of time after a book has been sold when it will still appear as "For Sale" on other web sites so you may be able to order a book that has been put on hold by another customer. We will let you know as soon as possible if you have attempted to order an unavailable title.

Shipping options & costs:
Please note that sending us the wrong amount of money for the shipping of your book will only delay your order. If you are in any way unsure of how much the shipping will cost, please contact us.

These are our normal shipping costs. They are subject to change for large, exceptionally light or heavy books, or for orders requiring special handling (insurance, delivery confirmation, etc.) We will contact you if we need to alter the amount you will be charged.

Within the USA

We normally ship via USPS Priority mail which will arrive within 1-6 business days anywhere in the US. The charge for this is $6.50
If you are prepared to wait longer for your book, we can ship via USPS Media Mail (formerly Book Rate) which will take 1-5 weeks. The charge for this is $4. All US shipments sent via the USPS receive free Delivery Confirmation. We will email to you your delivery confirmation number when we ship the package.

For fastest delivery, we can ship via the United Parcel Service (UPS) - please call for pricing. Some larger books may be shipped by UPS instead of Priority mail, so please include an address other than a PO Box. You can view a map showing transit times for UPS Ground shipments within the US.

Multiple Copies

If more than one book is ordered, Media mail shipping will be calculated at the base rate plus $1 per additional book. Priority, UPS and International mail will be based on weight, and we will contact you if additional shipping is needed.

Outside the USA

We normally ship international orders via United States Postal Service Priority Mail International or First Class International which is available to certain countries in South America, Western Europe, the Middle East and the Pacific Rim. Please call us if you are unsure of availability to your country. The USPS states a 6-10 day “delivery objective" but can be delayed because of customs. Priority Mail International starts at $12, and your shipping will be adjusted based on your country of origin and the weight of the book. You will be contacted if a greater amount of shipping is needed.

If the above services are not available to your location, or if you are willing to wait several weeks for your book, we can ship via USPS Surface Mail which typically takes 4-8 weeks to arrive. We have found that at certain times of the year and for certain destinations that transit times can be much longer. For example, surface mail sent to Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific has been known to take in excess of 10 weeks. Surface mail is usually around $8 but can vary dramatically based on destination and weight. We recommend you take advantage of the faster shipping options wherever possible.

 

We can also ship international orders via the United Parcel Service (UPS) at approximately a 40% discount off UPS published rates. UPS is faster than the Postal Service's Air Mail, insured, more reliable and trackable. Rates for UPS shipping are difficult for us to provide as they are based upon weight and delivery address. They are usually between $26.55 and $45.15. UPS shipments will arrive in 1 to 6 business days and can be tracked during transit. We will calculate the exact price of your shipping if you contact us before placing an order. If you do not contact us beforehand but still request UPS shipping we will charge your credit card the appropriate, discounted rate.

Note that the buyer is responsible for all charges imposed by customs agencies or postal services of other countries and that these agencies may cause your package to be significantly delayed.

How will my book(s) be packaged?
Most orders shipped out via USPS Media Mail, USPS International Surface Mail, USPS Airmail and UPS are put in bubble envelopes. They may also be in put in USPS packaging (if they are being sent by a flat rate method) or wrapped in bubble wrap and put in poly bags.

Most orders being shipped via USPS Priority Mail or Global Priority Mail will be wrapped in the same type of waterproof polybag and then placed in the appropriate envelope supplied by the Postal Service. In the event the books are too large for the supplied envelopes, they will be packaged in the same way as described in the preceding paragraph.

Any large packages, or those requiring extra protection, will be shipped in a cardboard box appropriate to the size of the book.

Payment options:
We prefer to receive payment via credit card - MasterCard, Visa or Discover. You can either call us with the details at (603) 880-6400, fax them to us at (603) 594-0866 or email them to sales@bookcellaronline.com. Ensure that you leave your name, address and the card's expiration date along with the number.


We also accept Paypal payments (use sales@bookcellaronline.com as the email address). Finally, you can choose to pay via check or money order in US dollars drawn on a US bank. Please let us know in advance (via phone, fax or email) if you will be paying by this method so we can keep the book on hold until payment arrives.

Returns Policy:
Books are returnable if you contact us within 10 days of receipt. For "no fault" returns there is a 20% restocking fee and we will not pay for shipping costs in either direction. If the return is due to a mistake on our part, we will gladly do whatever we can to make it right. Please contact us in advance to arrange returns.
